Right before Valentine's Day our roomies left for a week vacation to Florida and we were honestly as excited to have the house to ourselves as they were to go away. Any time you live with anyone a little break is always much needed and appreciated. The in-laws left that Friday night for their drive to Florida and the hubs and I went to bed early because Greyson had woken up with a 104 fever that day and we were exhausted from dealing with that and running him to the doctor. Saturday was Valentine's Day, we had plans with a few couple friends to have drinks and apps at our house and unfortunately had to cancel because Greyson still wasn't acting right. Thank god we did because Grey started throwing up! Daddy ran to the store which took what felt like 6 hours because a Blizzard was suppose to be coming and the store was MOBBED! I sat covered in throw up with Greyson, who was understandably upset because he had never thrown up before, until Joe came home with flu supplies for an army. Gatorade, Ginger Ale, crackers, oyster crackers that would fit into Greyson's snack container, carpet cleaner, anything and everything. He also stopped by Children's Place that is in the same shopping center for more comfy clothes because we had already changed his outfits about 4 times and he was worried we would eventually run out if this continued. Guys are so crazy. I was annoyed Joe took so long and I was annoyed he spent a million dollars. I was pretty much just annoyed by anything at that point, but who wouldn't be after sitting around in puke waiting for their husband to hurry back and help?! I think I was just as scared as Greyson was because half the time he was choking a little bit because he wasn't sure what was happening. It was frightening.
The throwing up finally stopped before bed time so we put Grey to bed and ate a quick appetizer, had a glass of wine and went to bed ourselves. With having kids I'm sure there will be many more Valentine's Day's that will look like this!!! Sunday we had some wine while Greyson took it easy and we made Beef Stew for our first time in the Crock Pot. We had a nice lazy day and a yummy yummy dinner. 3 am rolls around and Joe is up puking his brains out. AWESOME. I had a phone interview scheduled for Monday and he was suppose to be helping with Greyson!! Of course that is also the day the fence blows down because of the wind and I can't let the dogs out to use the bathroom until it is fixed. Poor hubby in between getting sick is out in 6 degree weather hammering up a fence. Oh this was also a three day weekend for him because his company had off for President's Day. What good luck we have over here. One thing the guy swears by is that he will never in his life eat beef stew again :) Monday night I tossed and turned all night. I felt a little nauseous but I always think I'm getting sick so I kept pushing it aside. 6am comes and I'm up sick!!!! Joe was almost to work and said he'd come home but I figured I was fine so I told him to stay. Needless to say hours later I was begging him to come home. I could barely get up. I tried to go get Greyson from his crib after nap time and had to lay on his floor before running to the bathroom to be sick. It was horrendous. Thankfully for each of us the bug only lasted 24 hours. By Wednesday we all felt better but were tired and a little off still. Thursday we felt great. Joe wanted Pizza and I wanted wine so we definitely had our appetites back! Friday we cleaned up for the in-laws return home on Saturday and Saturday morning they came home safe and sound. What a week of having the place to ourselves we had!!!! FAIL!! After a long week stuck inside, I did manage to get out of the house a few time. I took Greyson to paint pottery with his cousin Sophie on Thursday, which he is still a little young for, wanting to put the paint brushes in his mouth and all, and Saturday morning we met them again at Sky Zone and we all jumped for a little while. That place is so much fun and so energy busting for the kids. Its a must do activity!!
Oh and that interview.....it went great!!! I Got offered the job!!!
